Reena loves a story, and she‘s fascinated by the people behind them. She loves to bring stories to life. Her appetite for storytelling has taken her from the Jerry Springer Show to the legal drama of the courtroom. From influential players to reality stars, nothing is censored here. Reena interviews people whose stories haven‘t been told, at least not through her unique lens, and then gets daddy‘s advice afterward like a good daughter does. Whether you have daddy issues or a father who‘s inspired your path, you will be able to tap into my daddy‘s wisdom, wit, and humor at the end of every episode. My daddy has been a guiding light my whole life and there‘s not much he doesn‘t know, as an entrepreneur for forty-plus years, a husband, a loyal son, and my number one supporter. He has learned lots of life lessons along the way and is here to share them with you. It‘s time to reminisce and reflect on the conversations you‘d like to have with your daddy and learn from mine. Come share in some good old-fashioned family bonding and help us up our wisdom rating. There is wisdom from four generations and I’m addressing what happens from childhood to adulthood!

200. Surrogacy, What Kind Of Mother Will I Be? Arsiak Vartenian
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Monday Jan 31, 2022
Arsiak Vartenian and I met at a Broad Shoulders women’s networking event in Chicago! She’s an open book, a role model for women, and had quite the emotional journey to becoming a mother. Multiple miscarriages, IVF doctors, pregnancies, embryos, and surrogacy, is becoming a mom instinctual? Did you make plans to become a parent? Did you talk to medical professionals to find out what to expect when you’re expecting? What kind of mother will you be? What do you wish you knew before embarking on the parenthood adventure? Better Call Daddy: The Safe Space For Controversy.
Arsiak Vartenian, is a builder of women, the community, and the host of Smart is the New Sexy, an uplifting talk show, and online platform. She aims to highlight the power of dreaming big through storytelling, connection, community, and heart.
Arsiak grew up in Arkansas, where she never truly fit in. Her dreams often felt “too big” for her surroundings. With extended roots in Chicago, she knew that like the skyscrapers, the sky was the limit -- as soon as she could spread her wings, she moved north and signed up for college in the Windy City.
College came to a close just shy of completing her senior year when Luxury Real Estate became the apple of her eye. She took a leap of faith and dove headfirst into her raw excitement. She was ready to learn and face all of the challenges the career could provide. She just wasn’t prepared for opposition from those she hoped would be her mentors. Yet again, faced with remarks that her dreams were beyond what she could produce. Even to this day, she’s felt the eye roll of doubt around Smart is the New Sexy.
Even through years of self-doubt and the doubt of others, a complicated divorce from her first husband, momentous financial failures, and the death of close family members, she’s chosen to push through and prove them all wrong.
Her divorce clouded her identity for a while and she needed to rediscover who she was. She put real estate on hold and returned to school to study Fine Arts & TV Production with a minor in journalism. Flash forward and you’ll see the direct correlation to Smart is the New Sexy. It just took her a decade to really find her confidence and be in front of the camera.
This confidence was shaped from active self-discovery but also listening and connecting with others' stories of challenge and triumph. Their stories enabled her to take steps to truly change course and subsequently experience real love and build upon a successful career.
Today, at the helm of Smart is the New Sexy, she feels more empowered now than ever before. Empowered Women Empower Women.
Smart Is The New Sexy has also been recognized by local Chicago and national broadcasts. You can watch these features on WGN, Fox 32, CBS Chicago, Ivanhoe Broadcasting, and more by visiting https://www.arsiak.com/

Friday Jan 28, 2022
Friday Jan 28, 2022
A lot of kids getting ready to attend college could use a guide! There’s a lot to figure out and you need a plan! Where are all the college scholarships hiding? What will payments look like for a hundred thousand dollars in debt for a masters degree? There are opportunities available to fund college instead of sleeping in. Today we talk to Rob McGraw, Global Talent Leader, Author of 12 Lies About College, and my toastmaster mentor about what to consider before attending university! Better Call Daddy: The Safe Space For Controversy!
Robert McGraw was born in the humble south suburbs of Chicago. His childhood solidified a character defining independence and fearlessness that have proven to be his greatest assets. After serving five years in the Marine Corps, he returned to Illinois and began working full time. Once again stable, he leveraged the Illinois Veterans Grant and Montgomery GI Bill to complete a B.S. and MBA in five years, at a profit of more than $ 24,000.
After experiencing professional success, helping friends and family, and recalling lessons learned along the way, he decided to give back by helping those at this critical juncture in their lives.

Want to be crazy? Go live your life! That was the message Pixie got from her parents! Pixie became independent when she got pregnant and became a mother. She's now a podcaster, entertainer, content creator, Twitter #spaceshost, Hostess of Project Podcast with Pixie, and Next On Stage One. Twenty three years in the adult entertainment industry she's got lots of wild shenanigans to talk about from her past. Today we are busting hot button topics.
Things that are adult should stay adult! You have to have boundaries! No touchy no touchy! Dancing is time for money! I'm never going to show my daughter how to twerk! Sex education needs to be taught with the consent of parents. Education should come from home and be backed by the school. Gotta break down barriers and give kids advice at their level. Pixie didn't learn sex ed from her parents and many don't. Sex can be scary! Better Call Daddy: The Space For Controversy.
Today we are talking about how to think about your podcast as a business. You need to have a trajectory for your show, an elevator pitch, does this fit your brand? It's not just creating, you need boundaries, or it's chaos.

197. Can marijuana kill? Laura Stack
Friday Jan 21, 2022
Friday Jan 21, 2022
Laura had all of the tools she needed to do a 180 from her keynote speaking on productivity and apply it to youth substance abuse. She’s like the Mothers Against Drunk Driving for marijuana! We don’t know all the science as parents! It’s not the same marijuana our parents used to smoke! Better Call Daddy: The Safe Space For Controversy!
Laura Stack is Johnny Stack’s mom and the Founder & CEO of Johnny’s Ambassadors. In the business world, Laura was better known by her professional moniker, The Productivity Pro®. She is a Hall-of-Fame Speaker and corporate spokesperson for many major brands. Laura is a bestselling author of eight books on productivity and performance topics with a large social media following, and she has given keynote speeches and training seminars to major corporate, association, and government audiences for over 30 years.
On November 20, 2019, Laura suddenly acquired the undesired wisdom of knowing what it’s like to lose one’s child, when her 19-year-old son, Johnny, died by suicide. He became psychotic after dabbing high- potency marijuana concentrates and thought the mob was after him.
Laura’s world took a 180. She filed for and received 501c3 nonprofit status for Johnny’s Ambassadors, Inc., with the mission to educate parents and teens about the dangers of today’s high-THC marijuana on adolescent brain development, mental illness, and suicide. She wrote the blockbuster book, The Dangerous Truth About Today’s Marijuana: Johnny Stack’s Life and Death Story, with 300 pages about what happened. Described as a woman with unstoppable drive and unwavering purpose, Laura hopes to help other parents, grandparents, teachers (and frankly all adults with teens in their lives) by honestly and boldly sharing Johnny’s story of his high-potency marijuana use, psychosis, and suicide.
The devastating loss of her child gives Laura a powerful voice and a platform for change. Laura sees it as her responsibility to share Johnny's warning to prevent other families from having to go through what she did and save other young lives.
Laura’s platform now brings marijuana education, awareness, and prevention curriculum around the U.S. to raise awareness of THC use, mental illness, and suicide. She presents live and virtual keynotes, breakout sessions, and training for parents, teens, schools, healthcare, anti-drug coalitions, community- based prevention organizations, corporate wellness programs, and government agencies.
Laura is the recipient of the Drug-Free America Foundation’s Moxie Award for protecting youth from substances, as well as the Leadership in Advocacy Award from the National Speakers Association. By sharing Johnny’s own warning about marijuana, Laura is determined to start a movement to bring teen marijuana use, mental illness, and suicide into the spotlight and get them to #StopDabbing.
Laura lives with her husband near Denver, Colorado and has two surviving adult children, ages 26 and 20.
